Obama and the Nobel Peace Prize – Wishful Thinking

All Americans join in with our President, Barak Obama, in our desire for peace and desire to be free from attack whether it is from a country or Muslim terrorists.

The Nobel Peace Prize that was awarded to our President is an honor for all of us and expresses everyone’s hope to live in a world without war, bloodshed, and terroristic attacks on our citizens – terrorists who have no ethics or qualms about killing women and children.

The chairman of the Nobel Peace Prize’s committee, Thorbjorn Jagland that decides to whom the award should go explained their decision to give the award to President Obama.  He cited Mr. Obama’s efforts to heal the divide between the West and the Muslim world and scale down a Bush-era proposal for an anti-missile shield in the Eastern European countries of Poland and the Czech Republic.  The missile defenses were to be installed for protection from the long range missile and possible nuclear attack from Iran against Europe.

Jagland said, “All these things [done by Obama] have contributed to – I wouldn’t say a safer world – but a world with less tension.”

The hope of Jagland, his committee, and President Obama to negotiate peace through talk rather than military strength is admirable and noble.  But, it will never happen.

I believe even moderate Muslims hate the United States.  Certainly, the militant Muslims seek the destruction of all things American and will stop at nothing to accomplish their goal of bringing the United States to its knees.  Most of the Muslims cheered when the terrorists brought down the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, killing 3,000 civilians.

The militant Muslims use every means possible to strike at our citizenry.  The use of a nuclear bomb or a weapon of mass destruction looms on the horizon like a thunder head.  They will lie and deceive to reach their purpose of having nuclear weapons to dispose of the hated Americans, the evil Satan, and the advanced civilization we have achieved.

Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is moving forward pell-mell to attain a nuclear arsenal for the purpose of annihilation and terror.  Ahmadinejad and his government have done nothing to extend their hands in peace.  The longer diplomats talk and hope for peace, the more time is given for research and development of Iran’s ability to kill millions in one terrifying blast.

The Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan have their eyes on the prize – control of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal.  The chaos, murders, and strikes of terror will not stop until they have control of the nuclear weaponry        possessed by Pakistan.

It is naïve to think that the United States can ever have peace with the Muslim world through diplomacy.  The core beliefs of Islam will never allow that to happen.

First, the United States is openly tolerant to gay, lesbian, and trans-gendered people.  Islam vilifies homosexuality.  For example, In Malaysia's Penal Code Section 377, the sentence for conviction of sodomy is flogging, plus up to twenty years in prison. Victims are flogged with a section of bamboo that is split into several strips. When bamboo is split, it has extremely sharp edges, which slice the skin like knives. Flogging is quite bloody and leaves permanent scars.  In addition to Section 337, just to prevent any homosexual from escaping conviction, Section 337A provides for a male to receive up to two years in prison for any act of 'gross indecency with another male person.'  Similar laws are on the books throughout the Muslim empire.

Second, the entertainment industry of the United States is saturated with pornography, illicit sex, and vulgarity.  This is anathema in the Islamic religion.  Their cultural police do not allow such films to legally be shown in the countries.

Another point of no compromise with the United States is the freedom and rights women have in our nation.  In many Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, women cannot even apply for a driver’s license.  Under Taliban rule and for fundamentalist Muslims, women cannot even show their face in public, and when they do go out in public, the husband or father must give them permission to leave the house.  Even when a female U.S. diplomat travels to such a country, she must cover her head with a scarf and sometimes cover her face.  Such coverings show the woman in submission to the male in their male-dominated religion.

A Muslim woman must receive the permission of her father to marry, and God help the woman who marries a non-Muslim.  Muslims will never be at peace with the United States who allows a woman to marry anyone of her choosing.  Such freedom strikes at the root of power that this stranglehold over women has from this religion.  And isn’t that what it is all about?  Power and control?

Daughters are murdered by their fathers and even their mothers if they marry outside their religion.  They can be murdered for being raped.  Such actions bring disgrace upon the girl’s family.  And what is this practice called?  Honor killings.  Killings to preserve the honor of the girl’s family.

The freedoms and tolerant attitudes that the United States has are threats, real threats to the Muslim religion, culture, and power.  They fear the influence of the United States upon the control and power that their religious bureaucrats hold over their subservient people.  Their religion is used to maintain their position and power just like any religion can be used for such authoritarian rule.

Finally, there is the hatred of America for it’s friendship and support of Israel.  No amount of diplomatic niceness or Nobel Peace Prizes will ever change the hatred Muslims have in their hearts for Israel.   The Fatah and Hamas constitutions call for the destruction of Israel. Yet, Israel has shown good faith in diplomacy and agreed under several proposals to cede most of their West Bank land to the Muslims and gave away the Gaza strip.  Still, that is not enough.  Nothing short of the annihilation of Israel will suffice and such annihilation is war and not peace.

Out of 175 United Nations Security Council resolutions up to 1990, 97 were against Israel and out of 690 General Assembly resolutions, 429 were against Israel.  All of these well-meaning resolutions to appease the Muslims have brought nothing but more terrorist attacks, threats, and bloodshed.  These resolutions like Obama’s efforts to bring the Muslims to the table of peace and like the Nobel Peace Prize committee’s desire for peace do nothing to bring actual peace.  The Muslims do not want or desire peace.  Nor can the Muslims make peace with a country that is the personification of Satan to them.  Satan must be destroyed.

All Americans hope and pray for peace.  Why can’t we all just get along, sit down have a beer together, and resolve our differences?

President Obama has certainly tried.  He refused to have a National Day of Prayer Service, a largely Christian observance, in the White House on May 7 so as not to precedence to Christianity.  In fact, he said at an April news conference in Turkey that America is no longer a Christian nation.  Further, he reached out to Muslims with a White House observance during Ramadan on September 2.  At that dinner, Mr. Obama said, "Together, we have a responsibility to foster engagement grounded in mutual interest and mutual respect.”  The only problem, Mr. President, is that the Muslims have never nor will they ever respect the United States.

In Obama’s June address to the Muslim world from Cairo, he showed his naïveté.  He said, “The truth that America and Islam are not exclusive…they overlap.…” He then went on to identify the common principles between Islam and America: “justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”   However, the walls that separate Islam from America are greater than any principles that might unite us.

All of us wish for peace, but the chance of Muslims making peace with the United States is wishful thinking.  With our sensual culture, our freedoms, our friendship with Israel, our tolerance for different faiths, and tolerance for different sexual practices, plus the compassion shown toward abused and raped women – all of this and more enrage Muslims.  The United States stands for everything they stand against.

Muslims seeking peace with the United States even as the United States seeks peace with Islam?  Wishing and hoping on Obama’s part and the Nobel Peace Prize committee’s part will not make it happen.

“I’m not a crook” (President Richard Nixon, November 17, 1973).

“I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” (President Bill Clinton, 1998).

“The [National Enquirer] story is untrue.  The story is false. It's completely untrue, ridiculous" (Presidential candidate John Edwards, October 11, 2007).

“Frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely.  I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.  This is not the biggest issue facing the country.  It’s not something I’m paying a lot of attention to” (President Barak Obama, September 20, 2009).

On June 17, 1972, five men were arrested claiming to work for the CIA trying to bug the Watergate offices of the Democratic National Committee.  Who would have ever thought the janitor from South Carolina who reported the burglary would bring down one of the most popular presidents in history?

The next layer of the onion’s skin was peeled off on October 10, 1972, when the FBI established that the Watergate break-in was part of a massive spying and sabotage campaign on behalf of Nixon’s reelection effort.

No one paid attention to the FBI’s finding.  Connecting the break-in to the President was as far fetched as fighting windmills.  Less than a month later, Nixon was reelected in one of the largest landslide elections in the history of the United States.  He crushed Senator George McGovern of South Dakota, the Democratic nominee, with an unheard of 60.7% of the popular vote and won the Electoral College 520 to 17.

Another layer peeled off when former Nixon aides G. Gordon Liddy and James W. McCord Jr. were convicted of conspiracy, burglary, and wiretapping in the Watergate incident on January 30, 1973.  Five other men pled guilty.

Sharpening the paring knife, the Senate Watergate Committee began hearings broadcast on national television on May 18, 1973.

With cover-ups, the firing of the special prosecutor, Archibald Cox by Nixon, and John Dean’s testimony that he talked with Nixon thirty-five times, the layers came flying off.  (Dean was the White House Council to the President.)

On July, 27, 1974, the House Judiciary Committee passed articles of impeachment against President Nixon charging obstruction of justice.  The core of the onion was finally reached when Nixon resigned in August rather than face impeachment.

The same onion peeling process happened with President Clinton.  News of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal first broke on January 17, 1998, on the Drudge Report website.  The House eventually adopted two of four articles of impeachment filed by the Judiciary Committee.  The first article stated that Clinton provided perjurious, false and misleading testimony to the grand jury regarding the Paula Jones case and his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.  The impeachment went forward.  He was tried and acquitted in the Senate.

John Edwards lost all credibility and respect when the paring knives of the National Enquirer peeled back the onion and caught Edwards meeting his mistress.  Edward quit the Presidential race on January 30, 2008.

The next onion on the kitchen counter is President Barak Obama.  Like Nixon, the the majority of the voters ignored seemingly insignificant incidents and elected him President in a close election.

The first layer of skin peeled was his association with radical left-wingers like Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.

The racist Reverend preached, “Blacks should not sing, "God Bless America," but "God damn America.”  Racism, bigotry, and anti-Americanism are central themes of Wright’s black liberation theology message.  Yet, Obama claimed to never have heard his Reverend preach such content.  He joined Wright’s Trinity Church of Christ in the early 1990’s.  Obama officiated at his wedding.  When the knife was placed on the onion, Obama finally denounced Wright’s racist message, but confirmed his friendship.  The next layer peeled caused Obama to pull his membership from Wright’s church.

Bill Ayers is an unrepentant and unreformed radical intent on destroying the America we know and changing our government into a socialistic, communistic, and atheistic government.  In 1970 as a member of the radical underground organization, the Weathermen, he bombed government buildings and regretted not doing more violence.  Now, instead of bombings, he now uses political means to implement Marxism.

Again, Obama denies that his association with Ayers, a domestic terrorist, was insignificant and unimportant.  Obama stated in April of 2008, “[Ayers] was just a guy living in my neighborhood” and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis.”    He claims that he was not aware of Ayers’ radical, violent past of bombing federal buildings.

That onion layer was peeled when Stanley Kurtz found a long association between Obama and Ayers dating back to 1988.  The Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) was founded by Ayers to promote and implement his radical leftist philosophy into the Chicago schools.  Kurtz found archives housed in the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois that revealed Ayers and Obama worked together in the CAC.

Another layer is being peeled off with Obama’s relationship with leftist ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.  Obama said during the campaign, "I’ve been fighting alongside Acorn on issues you care about my entire career…"

Obama, the lawyer, represented ACORN.  He taught classes for future leaders of ACORN.  They endorsed him for President.  Obama’s campaign paid a subsidiary of ACORN more than $800,000 to “get out the vote.” The Chicago ACORN received grants of almost $200,000 from 2000 to 2002 from the Woods Fund. From 1993 to 2002, Obama served on the Board of Directors for the Woods Fund.

And Obama says, “I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.”

ACORN’s onion is almost peeled down to the core.  ACORN employees offered two guerilla reporters, James O'Keefe III and Hannah Giles posing as a pimp and prostitute in ACORN offices, advice on how to get on welfare; how to cheat the tax system; how to get housing from the government; how to hide the criminal profit; and how to import little girls from El Salvador for child prostitution.

The work of these courageous young reporters has resulted in ACORN losing its bid to count the population in the 2010 census and the loss of other federal funding.  And Obama says, “I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.”

Remember Watergate?  Two young reporters, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein worked with an FBI informant who called himself Deep Throat. The informant later revealed himself to be W. Mark Felt, a former No. 2 man at the FBI.  He willingly gave the reporters information about Nixon’s abuse of power.  The two reporters brought national attention to the abuse and corruption in the Nixon Whitehouse eventually leading to the articles of impeachment by the House Judiciary Committee and Nixon’s resigning from the Presidency.

The onion’s skin is being peeled.  How far down will Obama’s onion be peeled?  What else will there be revealed about Obama because of his propensity to lie and deny?  Is there a hidden truth about this man that will bring down his Presidency?  Will there be some action that he has done or has does in the future in carrying out his oath of office that will bring about shame, disgrace, and embarrassment to him and the country like Nixon, Clinton, and Edwards?

There will be more James O'Keefes and Hannah Giles.  There will be more Bob Woodwards and Carl Bernsteins.  There will be courageous media like the Drudge Report.  There will be tabloids like the National Enquirer who dig for truth.  Their knives are sharp.  The onion is being peeled.
